Focus: Hardening tenants and managing identity in a modern MSP landscape.
- 00-20 min: Zero Trust Architecture in M365. Moving beyond basic MFA. The three pillars: Verify explicitly, use least privileged access, and assume breach.
- 20-50 min: Identity & Access Mastery. Deep dive into Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD): Conditional Access policies, Phishing-resistant MFA, and Privilege Identity Management (PIM).
- 50-80 min: Threat Protection with Microsoft Defender. Managing Defender for Endpoint and Business via M365 Lighthouse (multi-tenant view for MSPs).
- 80-100 min: Compliance & Data Protection. Essential Purview features: Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and basic eDiscovery for incident response.
- 100-120 min: Q&A & Best Practices. Reviewing the "Essential Eight" and NIST alignment within the M365 stack.
Requirements
Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and Microsoft Entra ID. Experience: At least 6-12 months managing M365 environments, preferably in an MSP or multi-tenant setting. Licensing Awareness: Familiarity with M365 Business Premium and Enterprise (E3/E5) features. Security Basics: Basic understanding of MFA concepts and DNS (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) is highly recommended.
