Course Outline

Module 1. Fundamentals of AI for the Workplace (1.5 h)

  • Basic concepts of AI in a professional context.

  • Key capabilities: text generation, synthesis, classification, prediction, assisted search, analysis, and agents.

  • Differences between support, recommendation, and supervised automation.

  • Identification of professional tasks where AI can add value: analysis, documentation, communication, planning, customer service, learning, and process improvement.

  • Cross-cutting criteria: utility, limitations, human review, and accountability.

Module 2. Data, Privacy, and Safe Usage Criteria (1.5 h)

  • Types of information in the workplace: documents, emails, meetings, forms, spreadsheets, requests, regulations, knowledge bases, and internal notes.

  • Sensitivity classification: public or synthetic data, internal information, personal data, and confidential information.

  • Data minimization, anonymization, usage authorization, and exclusion of unauthorized data.

  • Data quality: source, date, version, context, completeness, and traceability.

  • Data usage traffic light: green, amber, and red.

Module 3. AI Tools and Controlled Prompt Design (1.5 h)

  • Local AI, cloud-based AI, and authorized corporate tools: advantages, limitations, and selection criteria.

  • Anatomy of a prompt: role, context, task, constraints, format, and validation.

  • Prompts to separate facts, hypotheses, missing data, decisions, and safe actions.

  • Techniques for requesting drafts, lists, tables, matrices, summaries, checklists, and plans.

  • Comparing responses for clarity, prudence, traceability, and utility.

Module 4. Applying AI to Professional Tasks and Workflows (2 h)

  • Opportunity map for integrating AI into job processes and tasks.

  • Low-risk uses: summarizing, organizing, classifying, extracting, comparing, and preparing drafts.

  • Analyzing requests, incidents, cases, documents, or work data without premature conclusions.

  • Redesigning the workflow: data entry, AI support, human review, decision-making, and logging.

  • Prioritizing use cases based on value, risk, effort, control, and ease of implementation.

Module 5. Writing, Communication, and Documentation Production with AI (1.5 h)

  • Generating drafts for reports, minutes, emails, proposals, instructions, and internal documentation.

  • Adapting messages for technical and non-technical audiences, clients, internal teams, or stakeholders.

  • Rewriting, simplifying, synthesizing, and improving clarity without losing precision or caution.

  • Communicating uncertainty, assumptions, limitations, and next steps.

  • Quality checklist before sending or reusing an AI output.

Module 6. Verification, Output Auditing, and Secure Reuse (2 h)

  • Reviewing AI-generated or AI-assisted texts without attempting to attribute authorship.

  • Detecting unsupported claims, omissions, exaggerations, and inferences presented as facts.

  • Distinguishing between fact, inference, opinion, and decision.

  • Audit table: phrase, issue, evidence, correction, and pending validation.

  • Reuse traffic light: use, correct, block, or escalate.

Module 7. Generative AI Risks: Hallucinations, Biases, and Automation (2 h)

  • Plausible hallucinations: invented data, non-existent sources, unjustified recommendations, and baseless promises.

  • Insufficient prompt versus controlled prompt.

  • Frequent biases: confirmation bias, availability bias, data selection bias, and automation bias.

  • Automation traffic light: green, yellow, and red tasks.

  • Designing secure assistants with allowed inputs, expected outputs, prohibited actions, human review, and logging.

Module 8. Agents, Prompt Injection, and AI Usage Governance (3 h)

  • AI agents: reading, planning, editing, tool usage, and autonomy limits.

  • Agent control in documents, spreadsheets, files, or systems: scope, permissions, controlled environment, change review, rollback, and logging.

  • Direct, indirect, and persistent prompt injection in documents, emails, websites, or embedded instructions.

  • Treating content as untrusted and separating useful data from unauthorized commands.

  • Governance framework: data protection, security, transparency, accountability, traceability, and applicable compliance.

  • Minimum protocol: permitted objective, authorized data, approved tool, prompt restrictions, human review, logging, and escalation.
